CEPI, the European Audiovisual Production Association, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Secretary General, Nawell Amour, who will officially take up her position at the end of April 2026.

CEPI warmly welcomes this new chapter and looks forward to the leadership, expertise, and fresh perspective that Nawell will bring. Her experience and expertise in the audiovisual and policy landscape will further strengthen the association’s work at European level.

Representing over 2,600 independent film and television producers through 19 national associations across 17 European countries, CEPI plays a key role in advocating for a strong and diverse European audiovisual sector. This appointment marks an important milestone as CEPI continues to strengthen its activities and engagement across its community.

Anthony Muldoon, CEPI’s President said of the appointment, “It is a real pleasure to welcome Nawell to CEPI. Her energy, experience and understanding of our sector will be invaluable in advancing our mission and supporting independent producers across Europe. I look forward to working alongside her. She is joining CEPI at a pivotal moment as 2026, which is going to be a significant and pivotal year for audiovisual policies across Europe. Key issues include: review of AVMS Directive by the European Commission, possible review of the Copyright Directive, ensuring that independent producers are placed back at the centre of the AgoraEU Programme, which is replacing the Creative Europe Media Programme in 2028; and the use of AI in the creative industries and the implementation of the AI Act."

Nawell Amour said, "It is a real pleasure to return to working with European independent producers. At a time when cultural diversity and European audiovisual sovereignty are increasingly challenged, their contribution is more important than ever. I look forward to taking on this new role and to strengthening the voice of independent producers across Europe."

Appointed as Account Manager at Europe Analytica, Nawell will take up the position of Secretary General at the end of April.

The CEPI Board of Directors looks forward to working closely with Nawell and to this new phase of development for the association.
