Prague, Czech Republic, 21 November 2025 - CEPI held its General Assembly on 20–21 November 2025 in Prague, bringing together members from across Europe to review EU legislative files, discuss the state of the audiovisual production sector and to elect the association’s new leadership.

CEPI extends its heartfelt thanks to outgoing President Susana Gato for her tireless dedication and leadership over the past years. Her efforts have significantly contributed to CEPI’s growing impact at the European level.

“It has been an honour to serve CEPI and work alongside such a committed community. Over the past years, we have strengthened our voice in Brussels, responded to new technological and regulatory challenges, and reinforced the importance of Europe’s creative ecosystem. I am confident that the new leadership will continue this work with energy and vision.” - Susana Gato
“As Ireland takes on the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the 2nd half of 2026, it is a privilege to take on the role of President of CEPI - European Audiovisual Producers Association. We advocate on behalf of 2,600 independent production companies across 17 countries and our collective voice needs to be heard. Our sector is at a pivotal moment, with rapid technological changes and new and changing regulatory frameworks. Together, we will continue advancing strong policies for independent producers and ensuring that European stories and talent remain at the heart of our cultural landscape.” - Anthony Muldoon
A special welcome was extended to Mr. Harald Hauben, representing Belgium Flanders, who joined the Board, enhancing the association's diversity and expertise.
In addition, the General Assembly provided an opportunity for members to discuss various EU frameworks such as the proposed AgoraEU and the Media+ Programmes, the AVMS Directive and developments on Artificial Intelligence and copyright. Members also shared extensive national updates, including market evolution and legislative developments in member countries.
CEPI would like to thank all members for their participation and their continued engagement and collaboration, and a special thank you to our Czech producers’ association APA for their warm hospitality and organisation in hosting the Assembly in Prague.
