CEPI Secretariat is happy to announce that starting from January 2021, Mathilde Fiquet will undertake the role of CEPI Secretary General.
Mathilde has spent the last 10 years at the Federation of European Direct and Interactive Marketing (FEDMA), acting as its Director General for the past 2 years, ensuring high level advocacy engagement with European institutions on various policy dossiers including ePrivacy, digital advertising and GDPR.
In parallel to her work at FEDMA, Mathilde has been Vice-Chair of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA) for 6 years and, since 2013, the Treasurer of European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA). With leading roles in these associations, Mathilde is well versed in the critical issues affecting the online sector and has a thorough understanding of the key actors in the industry.
Mathilde’s knowledge and experience in digital related policies will be an asset for CEPI’s advocacy especially in the context of the recent policy development at the EU level where digital regulation is now increasingly one of the top priorities within the EU agenda.
Concerning her new position at CEPI, Mathilde said “I am looking forward to starting with CEPI in January. I am particularly excited to join CEPI at a time when the industry is facing many challenges, and hope to use my expertise in data and digital to accompany the audiovisual industry in the transformation it is going through.”
As we welcome Mathilde Fiquet as new Secretary General, CEPI Secretariat would like to officially thank Ms. Elena Lai for her extraordinary contribution to CEPI’s growth during the last 10 years. Ms. Lai has been instrumental in strengthening CEPI’s presence on the European stage, turning the organization into a relevant partner to be included in all audiovisual related discussions and initiatives.
